Man Attacked with Metal Pole in Brutal SE6 Robbery
Just before 7:25am on Saturday, 10 December 2022, a man in his 20s was viciously attacked on Rushey Green, SE6. After getting off a bus, an unknown assailant sneaked up from behind and repeatedly bashed him over the head with a metal pole. The attacker then snatched the victim’s bag and vanished, boarding a Route 185 bus heading to Victoria.
Victim Suffers Brain Bleed but Survives
The victim was rushed to a south London hospital, where a CT scan revealed a brain bleed. His injuries were initially deemed life-threatening. Thankfully, he has since been discharged.
Police Issue Clear Image of Suspect
Detectives from the South East Robbery Squad have released a sharp image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the attack.
Detective Sergeant Laura Warden said: “This was an extremely violent robbery, which left the victim fighting for his life. We are determined to bring the person responsible for this heinous crime to justice.
“We have now released an image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with the robbery. It is a very clear image, so if that is you in the picture or if you know who it is, then please contact us as soon as possible.”
