Dangerous Offender on the Loose
Alex Ogden, 28, is wanted after a brutal homophobic attack in Islington on Wednesday, 18 October. The victim, a man in his 50s, was hospitalised following the violent assault. Police suspect hate crime motives due to remarks made during the attack.
Ogden, a stocky white male known for his distinctive topknot hairstyle—often braided or worn long with shaved sides—and Yorkshire accent, drifts between London, York, and sheffield/" title="Sheffield" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Sheffield. He frequently uses the national train network to move around.
Already on Police Radar for Multiple Assaults
Ogden is also wanted for failing to appear in court on 31 August after being charged with three common assaults at York railway station. Authorities warn he has a history of violence and theft and may be carrying a knife.
Police Urge Public to Stay Vigilant
Detective Constable Lauren Gresty, leading the investigation, said: “Ogden is a dangerous individual and it is crucial that he is located as a matter of urgency. He is wanted for a number of offences involving violence and theft, and has a history of violent offending.
“Ogden may be in possession of a knife. It is vital the public do not approach him. If you see Ogden or know where he is, call 999 immediately.”
