Witnesses said paramedics and police swarmed the area as the helicopter landed swiftly. One local told us, “There were sirens everywhere, and then we saw the helicopter land in the park. It was clear something serious had happened.” The exact number of people involved remains a mystery.

Police Seal Off Crime Scene, Carry Out Investigation
Officers have cordoned off Long Hill Road and are digging into what sparked the attack. A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH).
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Police were called at approximately 18:40hrs on Friday, 4 April to reports of a fight in Longhill Road, SE6. Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. A man was found with a stab injury – he was taken to hospital for treatment. At this early stage, his injury is not thought to be life-threatening. One man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of GBH. A crime scene remains in place and enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
