Royal Mail Postman Jailed for Life After Horrific Murder and Dismemberment of Girlfriend

A 27-year-old Royal Mail postman has been locked up for life after a savage knife attack left his girlfriend dead in their East Kilbride flat. Ewan Methven brutally stabbed 21-year-old Phoenix Spencer-Horn at least 20 times, including 10 horrific wounds to her face, before beheading and attempting to dismember her body.

Frenzied Knife Attack

The nightmare unfolded last November when Phoenix returned home from her waitressing shift. Methven launched the vicious assault with three different knives, repeatedly stabbing her in a frenzied rage.

Chilling Aftermath

After the killing, Methven butchered Phoenix’s body, dumping parts in their hallway. Shockingly, he didn’t call for help but instead spent two days in denial before authorities were alerted.

Justice Served

At the High Court, Methven was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 23 years behind bars. The judge condemned the “utterly barbaric” attack on the young woman.
