Dad Arrested Over Daughter’s Death 14 Years After Baby Injuries
Lejunae Wood, 42, from Wuppertal, Germany, was snapped up at Heathrow Airport last Thursday. By the very next day, he was charged with murdering his daughter, Leajunne Wood.
Tragic Timeline: Baby’s Injuries to Teen’s Death
The nightmare began back in December 2007 in Hayes, west London. Baby Leajunne was only four months old when she suffered severe head injuries. The Met Police confirmed the wounds were serious enough to change her life forever.
Despite fighting health issues for over a decade, Leajunne tragically passed away on December 6, 2021, aged just 14.

Pathologists’ reports in 2023 finally laid bare the heartbreaking cause of death: complications from a severe head injury sustained as a baby.
Wood appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and confirmed his identity. Prosecutor Cathryn Evans didn’t mince words: “The defendant is accused of the murder of his own child.”
Wood’s next court hearing is set for Tuesday at the Old Bailey, London’s central criminal court.
