Four Nabbed After Bold JCB Digger Heist in Sevenoaks
Four suspects have been arrested following a daring attempt to swipe a JCB digger in Sevenoaks.
The Great Digger Caper
On Thursday evening, 20 January 2026, at around 8.15pm, Kent Police were called to an industrial site in West Kingsdown. Three men had cut through a fence and sneaked inside to steal a shiny JCB digger.
Officers caught them red-handed as one man drove the digger off the premises.
Chase and Capture
The thief abandoned the digger and ran, but police gave chase. With help from the National Police Air Service and top dog PC Boss, the suspect was quickly tracked down and arrested.
Team Rounded Up, Vehicles Seized
A thorough search unearthed two suspicious vehicles linked to the raid. Police also detained three others – two men and a woman.
All four suspects have been bailed pending further investigation.
While the digger heist was foiled, Kent Police vow to crack down hard on construction site crime across the region.
