Car Crashes Into Bus Stop in Central London – Four Seriously Injured
A terrifying crash in Aldwych left seven pedestrians injured after a car smashed into a bus stop in the early hours of Sunday morning. Four remain in hospital with potentially life-changing injuries.
Early Morning Horror on October 29
The collision happened around 3:35 am on October 29, when a car struck a group of people waiting at a bus stop in Aldwych, central London. Seven pedestrians, along with the car’s driver, were hurt and rushed to hospital for urgent treatment.
Driver Arrested, Released on Bail
The driver, a man in his twenties, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail until late January while police continue their investigation.
Police Confirm No Terror Link
The Metropolitan Police are probing the serious crash but have confirmed it’s not terror-related. A spokesperson said:
“Police were called at approximately 03:35 hrs on Sunday, 29 October to reports of a car in collision with a number of pedestrians at a bus stop in Aldwych, WC2. London Ambulance Service attended and confirmed seven pedestrians were taken to hospital for treatment. Four remain in hospital with potentially life-changing injuries. Enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
