Man Charged and Locked Up Over Shocking Chichester Stabbing
Stabbing Drama in Chichester Alley
A brutal stabbing in Chichester has left a 29-year-old man fighting for life. Police swooped on an alley near Exton Road at 1.50pm on Monday, July 22, after reports of an altercation.
The victim was rushed to hospital with serious knife wounds and remains in critical condition. Witnesses said several men fled the scene in the alley leading from Exton Road to Kingsham Avenue.
Suspects Nabbed in Brighton Raid
Sussex Police moved fast, arresting two men aged 20 and 28 from Chichester at a Brighton address on Wednesday, July 23. One, 20-year-old Cobi Armah-White from Wayland Gardens, has been slammed with charges including grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a blade in public.
Armah-White faced Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, July 28, where he was remanded in custody. He is set for Portsmouth Crown Court on August 28. The other man, 28, has been released on bail while investigations continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Inspector Rebecca Hopkins said: “This continues to be a fast-moving investigation, and a suspect has been charged and remanded in custody. We are not seeking anyone else in connection with this incident. I would like to thank the public for their support so far and urge anyone with information to come forward.”
