Man Stabbed in Tranmere: Police Launch Urgent Appeal

Merseyside Police are hunting for information after a man was critically stabbed in Tranmere in the early hours of Tuesday, October 10. The attack happened at around 4am on Brougham Avenue.

Victim in Critical Condition

The victim, a man in his 40s, suffered serious stab wounds to his back and neck. He was rushed to hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Suspect Flees on Foot

Officers arrived quickly but the attacker had already fled on foot, reportedly heading towards Orchard Court and Quigley Street. Police have launched a full-scale investigation, examining CCTV, carrying out forensics, and speaking to local residents.

Police Urge Witnesses to Step Forward

Detective Inspector Andrew Schofield said: “We need anyone with information to come forward. Please check your CCTV footage around the time of the attack – it could be vital.”
