Body Found in Stratford Car Park: Arrest Made

A man’s lifeless body was found abandoned in the 123 Centre car park in Stratford, believed to be Chaudhary Mahmood.

Suspect Arrested Early Monday

Police swooped at a residential address on Bailey Street on Monday, January 15, arresting a man in connection with the case.

Victim’s Background Revealed

  • Relatives told MyLondon Mahmood was born in Sargodha, Pakistan.
  • He worked at a mobile phone store inside the Stratford Centre.

Police Appeal to the Public

“Many people use the Stratford Centre daily, and this will cause concern for shoppers and retailers,” said Chief Superintendent Simon Crick, head of Newham policing. “A man has been charged, but anyone with information should contact the police.”
