Chaos erupted in Cowplain as an exploding car sparked a terrifying blaze that engulfed a nearby house. Fire crews raced to the scene and evacuated residents swiftly before battling the inferno.
Firefighters Battle Blaze With Breathing Apparatus and Hose Jets
Teams from Waterlooville, Cosham, and Horndean arrived fast, armed with breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets. An aerial ladder from Southsea also joined the effort to douse the flames. Eyewitnesses reported hearing loud bangs as fire spread quickly to the roof.
Smoke Cleared After Flames Extinguished – No Injuries Reported
Firefighters kept at the scene after extinguishing the flames, using a large fan to clear thick smoke from the area. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the dramatic incident. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire Service have launched an investigation to find the cause of the fire.
