Man Arrested After Stabbing Attack in Gravesend

Daniel Wray, 31, from Orpington, was arrested in Dartford on Friday 5 January following a CCTV appeal by Kent Police.

Early New Year Assault Leaves Two Hospitalised

The incident happened just after 3.15am on Monday 1 January in Gravesend Town Centre, near Harmer Street. A 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were approached and threatened by Wray before being assaulted.

Both victims suffered injuries consistent with stab wounds. They were rushed to hospital and have since been discharged.

Serious Charges and Court Date

Wray faces two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent. He is also charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of cannabis. He is due in Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 6 January.

A 28-year-old woman from Gravesend was also arrested but has since been released on bail until 3 April 2024.
