Man, 48, Murdered in North London Stabbing Horror
Detectives have named the victim after a grisly stabbing in Haringey. Mihai Gae, 48, was found with fatal stab wounds at a home on Waldegrave Road, N8, just before midnight on Saturday, 13 June.
Tragic Scene in Haringey
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a stabbing. Despite medics’ best efforts during the ambulance journey, Mihai tragically died just before 1am on Sunday, 14 June.
Investigation Underway
The victim was officially identified on 24 June. His family have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
A post-mortem confirmed the cause of death as a stab wound to the neck.
Suspect in Custody
A 42-year-old man, thought to be known to Mihai, was arrested on suspicion of murder. He was charged on Monday, 15 June, and remains in custody. The suspect is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, 2 September.
