Tragic Pedestrian Death on A3 in Compton – Police Hunt Witnesses

Surrey Police are urgently appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision on the A3 at Compton last Wednesday, 30 November 2016. The crash, involving a pedestrian and a lorry, occurred just before the A31 junction around 1.40pm heading southbound.

Man, 55, Dies at Scene

The pedestrian, a 55-year-old man, tragically died at the scene. An inquest into his death was opened on 8 December and is still ongoing.

Police Seek Crucial Eyewitnesses

Sergeant Jamie Dann from Surrey Roads Policing Unit said:

“If you witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it, please get in touch immediately. We are especially keen to speak to anyone travelling northbound on the A3 that day who saw anything before, during, or after the incident.”
