East Farleigh Man Jailed for Relentless Harassment of Ex

Alwyn Tuttiett, 47, has been locked up for 15 months after terrorising his former partner with a shocking campaign of abuse, threats, and stalking. The nightmare began right after their breakup in October 2023 and escalated, culminating in a vile attack where he spat in her face in front of her child.

134 Calls and Social Media Smears

Tuttiett bombarded his ex with 134 phone calls in just one week, leaving degrading voicemail after voicemail. When she cut off contact, he took to her social media, posting nasty lies to ruin her reputation — even affecting her business.

Violent Confrontation and Police Intervention

The abuse peaked on February 6, 2024, when Tuttiett showed up at her home, shouting and spitting in her face while her child watched in horror. Police arrested him later that month, slapped on strict bail conditions, but he still kept up the harassment, leading to a second arrest in June.

Guilty Plea Ends Nightmare

At Maidstone Crown Court, Tuttiett admitted stalking causing serious alarm or distress. An assault charge was left on file. He was handed a 15-month prison sentence plus a five-year restraining order banning any contact with the victim.

Detective Constable Josh Barkaway said: “Tuttiett subjected his victim to repeated and appalling psychological abuse. His relentless calls and messages left her in constant fear and forced her to change her daily routines. This has caused huge distress and anxiety.”

The victim’s courage has been praised, and Kent Police urged anyone suffering similar abuse to seek help. For details on stalking and how to report it, visit Kent Police’s website.
