Fatal Leysdown Brawl: Man Beaten to Death by Teens

A brutal seaside fight has ended in tragedy with 49-year-old Alexander Cashford beaten to death at Leysdown-on-Sea, Isle of Sheppey, Kent. Mr Cashford was found face down in the mud after being bludgeoned with rocks and a bottle.

Teens Guilty of Manslaughter

Two teenagers have been convicted of manslaughter following the savage attack. A 15-year-old girl and two boys, aged 15 and 16, stood trial accused of murder. The eldest boy pleaded guilty to manslaughter early on. The others denied involvement but were found guilty. All three remain unnamed due to their age.

The 16-year-old admitted attacking Mr Cashford, claiming he feared the police would ignore any complaint if the victim tried to approach the girl.

Shocking Mobile Footage Shows Deadly Blow

Gruesome mobile phone footage revealed the 16-year-old landing a heavy strike on Mr Cashford’s head with a bottle. Although he admitted he intended to hurt, he denied aiming to cause serious injury.
