Tragic stabbing death rocks South Shields as five men held
Just before 1am on Saturday, police rushed to Marshall Wallis Road, South Shields, after reports of a violent altercation. Emergency crews found 25-year-old Faisel “Fise” David Ames Abdou suffering from stab wounds. Despite being rushed to hospital, Fise sadly died hours later.
Family heartbroken over sudden loss
A joint statement from Fise’s family said: “Fise was a loving son, brother, uncle and best friend. He was the kindest boy who would help anyone. The hole left in our lives can never be filled. We are all truly devastated.”
Five men arrested – two more held over aiding suspects
- Five men aged 19 to 32 face murder suspicion, with four still in custody.
- A 24-year-old recently bailed.
- Two others, aged 33 and 35, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
- The 33-year-old remains held; the 35-year-old is on bail.
Police beg public for info to crack case
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Woods said: “This tragic death of a young man with his whole life ahead has shaken us all. Our thoughts are with Fise’s family during this heartbreaking time.”
Woods added: “We’re upping patrols and investigating every angle. We urge anyone who saw the fight or has CCTV, dashcam, or mobile footage to come forward. Even the smallest detail could be vital.”
