Manhunt Underway After Shocking Attempted Kidnap in Bexleyheath

Detectives are hunting a man following a terrifying attempted kidnapping of a 16-year-old girl in Bexleyheath.

Girl Attacked on Upton Road

The victim was walking near Upton Road between 10.30pm and 10.40pm on Friday, 25 June, when she was grabbed from behind by a stranger.

Startled, the girl screamed, forcing the attacker to flee on foot towards Broadway, leaving her shaken but physically unharmed.

Police Release Image of Suspect

Officers from the South East Command Unit have now released an image of the suspect. He is described as a white male wearing black trousers, a beige jumper, and a face mask pulled down to his chin.

“Though the victim was not physically injured, she was left incredibly shaken by this frightening incident,” said Detective Constable Tristan Hunter.

“I urge anyone who may recognise this man to contact us immediately.”
