Three men locked up for nearly 20 years after ‘Ice’ drug ring busted across Tower Hamlets, Hackney, and Islington.
Crackdown on ‘Ice’ Drug Dealers
Three men have been handed hefty prison sentences following a major police operation targeting the supply of ‘Ice’ (crack-cocaine and heroin) from December 2021 to June 2022. The sentencing took place at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Thursday, 30 March.
Sentences Delivered
- Shumon Miah, 25, of Arrow Road, Tower Hamlets, was jailed for seven years for conspiracy to supply crack-cocaine and heroin, plus possession of criminal property.
- Nasir Ahmed, 24, of Killick Way, Tower Hamlets, received seven and a half years for the same offences.
- Shuhan Ahmed, 24, of Stepney Way, Tower Hamlets, was sentenced to five years and three months for conspiracy to supply crack-cocaine and heroin.
Operation Continuum Breaks the Chain
The trio were found guilty after a five-week trial in January and February. The convictions came under Operation Continuum, a joint force involving police and Tower Hamlets Council aimed at smashing drug crime in the borough.
