London endured a terrifying 42-hour blitz of gunfire between September 4 and 5, 2024. Three separate shootings across West Kilburn, Woolwich, and Harlesden left one man dead and two others injured. Police have launched urgent investigations but no arrests have been made yet.
Tragedy in West Kilburn: Man in 20s Fatally Shot
On the night of September 4, 28-year-old Tikquaan Walters was gunned down on Bravington Road, West Kilburn. Police arrived around 11pm and confirmed his death just before midnight.
Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley from the Met’s murder squad urged local residents to come forward.
“This happened in a residential street. I’m sure someone has doorbell or dashcam footage that could be crucial. Please get in touch.”
Woolwich Shooting: Man Hospitalised After Gunfire
Minutes after the Kilburn attack, just before midnight on September 4, gunshots rang out on Kingsman Street, Woolwich. Officers found shell casings and a damaged car but no victim at the scene.
Shortly after, the London Ambulance Service reported a man in his 20s had been shot in nearby Church Street. He was treated on site and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police inquiries remain ongoing.
Harlesden Horror: Man Shot in Ankle
On the evening of September 5, a man walked into hospital after being shot in the ankle in Harlesden. Police were called to Church Road around 11pm, discovering bullet damage to a car and a fast food restaurant’s windows.
The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening. Detectives continue urgent enquiries but no suspects have been caught.
