Man Charged After Bovine Collision

A 26-year-old man from Totton has been charged with driving over the legal alcohol limit after crashing his car into a cow. The bizarre smash happened on Roger Penny Way, near Telegraph Hill, just before 9pm on Monday, 16 September.

Driver Arrested at the Scene

Phelim O’Hara, from Wetherby Court, was arrested immediately following the collision. He has been bailed and is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 12 November.

No Serious Injuries Reported

The crash involved O’Hara’s vehicle and a cow on the rural road infamous for wandering livestock. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported to the driver or anyone else at the scene.
