Two Men Arrested Over Tottenham Murder
Detectives have made two arrests in the murder of Edmond Jonuzi, 35, in Tottenham. A 23-year-old and a 21-year-old were held on suspicion of manslaughter and violent disorder on the evening of Thursday, 5 July.
Both suspects remain in custody at north London police stations. One man has already been charged with Edmond’s murder.
Tragic Stabbing Near Turnpike Lane Station
The investigation began after police were called to Green Lanes, N15, at 9.47pm on Saturday, 9 June. Officers and London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene following reports of a seriously injured man near Turnpike Lane station.
They found Edmond Jonuzi suffering from stab wounds. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Victim Identified, Investigation Ongoing
Edmond Jonuzi, an Albanian national aged 35, was believed to be a local resident. His next of kin have been informed.
A post-mortem revealed the cause of death was a stab wound. The murder inquiry is now being led by detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command.
