Fraud Charges After Tragic Memorial Fund Scam

Police have launched a detailed probe into a GoFundMe page set up after a fatal crash on the A4 Derry Hill in August 2020. The page, titled “Jordan, Corey, Matt, Ryan Memorial,” was meant to honour the four young men who lost their lives.

Two Facing Court Over Fund Scam

Kyle Saunders, 18, from Blackbird Court, Northamptonshire, is due in swindon/" title="Swindon" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Swindon Magistrates Court on 1 December. He faces one count of fraud by false representation.

Jason Macdonald, 37, from Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, will appear at the same court on the same day. He will be charged with acquiring, using, or possessing criminal property linked to the case.

Additional Drug Charges for Macdonald

Macdonald also faces unrelated drug charges including possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of cannabis.
