Caught Red-Handed! Two Men Nabbed with Stolen Car Parts in Broad Daylight
At 12.55pm on Monday 19 July 2021, two men were spotted acting suspiciously in a private yard at Detling Aerodrome industrial estate.
Ford Transit Haul Sparks Police Chase
The pair swiftly fled the scene in a Ford Transit van. Police caught up with the vehicle and stopped it on Medway City Estate, Rochester.
Stolen Car Parts Seized, Two Arrested
Officers arrested the driver and passenger. A haul of suspected stolen car parts was seized from the vehicle.
Charges and Court Dates
- Tom Buckley, 31, from Oxted, Surrey, and Abraham Hilden, 20, from Romsey, Hampshire, were charged with burglary and possession of articles to aid theft.
- Buckley also faces charges for driving while disqualified and without insurance.
Buckley appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 21 July and was bailed with conditions ahead of a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 19 August. Hilden was also bailed to the same hearing by Kent Police.
