Teen Found Guilty of Murdering Huddersfield Boy

A 17-year-old from Huddersfield has been found guilty of murdering Khayri, after a trial at Leeds Crown Court. The boy, along with a 15-year-old who already pleaded guilty, will be sentenced at a later date.

Tragic Stabbing on Woodhouse Hill

Khayri was fatally stabbed in the chest while walking on Woodhouse Hill, Huddersfield, on September 21 last year. Two males approached him before the attack. Despite emergency first aid and surgery at Leeds General Infirmary, Khayri sadly died.

Police React to Verdict

“We welcome the jury’s verdict today and will now await the sentencing of both these youths for Khayri’s murder,” said Detective Superintendent Marc Bowes, who led the investigation. “Our thoughts are with Khayri’s family as they process this news, and we will continue to support them.”
