London Cab Shot at in Brazen Attack – Police Hunt Armed Suspect

£5,000 Reward for Kevin Zebo’s Arrest

South London police are renewing their appeal after a taxi was shot at last summer. Detectives from the Trident and Area Crime Command want to locate 26-year-old Kevin Zebo, aka Ouuraga Kevin Zebo, who remains on the run.

Zebo is linked to Woolwich Dockyard but also has known connections in south-east London, Bournemouth, and Andover. Authorities have slapped a £5,000 reward on his head for information leading to his capture and prosecution.

Terrifying Shooting on Herbert Road

The incident happened at around 6:30pm on 8 June 2018. Two men entered a cab office on Herbert Road, SE18, and took a cab. As the driver reversed, a group of males approached, and one fired a handgun at the rear window of the car, smashing it and narrowly missing the passengers inside.

The gunmen fled the scene and sped off in a getaway car. Miraculously, no one was injured, but the danger was real.

Police Warning and Appeal

Detective Inspector James Bray said: “While my officers have worked tirelessly to identify those involved, Kevin Zebo has gone to ground and remains at large. Although no one was killed or seriously injured by a stroke of luck, this mindless violence cannot be tolerated on London’s streets. Zebo is considered dangerous and must be caught.”

If you spot Kevin Zebo, do NOT approach him. Call 999 immediately. Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting CAD reference 6598/08JUN18, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Four other men have already been charged in connection with the shooting.
