Aldershot Woman Jailed for Stealing £73 Worth of Beauty Products
Charlene Ellacott, 36, from North Lane, Aldershot, has been slapped with 13 weeks behind bars for nicking beauty items worth £72.98 from The Range on Ivy Road.
The theft took place on 2 September. Ellacott pleaded guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on 16 September to one count of shoplifting.
Police Reveal Ellacott’s Long History of Shoplifting
Police Sergeant Rob Tiller of Aldershot Neighbourhood Policing Team slammed Ellacott as a “prolific shoplifter.”
“Charlene Ellacott is a prolific shoplifter who stole more than £70 worth of items from a shop in Aldershot. Her behaviour has had a huge impact on various local businesses and retailers in the town,” Sergeant Tiller said. “I hope this result sends a message to offenders that this level of behaviour and criminality will not be tolerated.”
