Police swooped this morning after reports of suspicious activity in Grantham’s Springfield Road, Station Road, and Bridge End Road areas.

At around 7:50am on December 10, locals spotted someone trying car door handles and fiddling with motorbike luggage carriers — raising alarms about possible theft attempts.

Officers acted fast, arresting a 38-year-old man at 10:45am near Somerby Hill roundabout. He’s being held on suspicion of interfering with motor vehicles and theft.
