Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up After Fatal Pinner Crash
Detectives are hunting for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage following a deadly collision in Pinner.
Fatal Smash on George V Avenue
The crash happened just before 11am on Friday, 14 April at George V Avenue. A black Smart car slammed into a pedestrian on the northbound side of the road.
Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene. The victim, a 66-year-old man, was rushed to a North London hospital. Tragically, he died on Thursday, 1 June after battling critical injuries.
Family Supported as Police Investigate
The man’s family has been informed and are receiving help from specialist officers to cope with their loss.
Detective Pleads for Crucial Information
Detective Sergeant Rebecca Collens of the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said, “I know some time has passed since this collision, but if you witnessed it, you would surely remember it. I’m eager to hear from anyone with information – no matter how small it may seem. If you saw the crash or have footage, please get in touch.”
The 48-year-old Smart car driver was questioned under caution. Police continue probing the full circumstances of the smash.
