Man Arrested After Late-Night Stabbing and Sexual Assault at Station

A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault after a stabbing incident at a busy northbound platform.

Knife Attack Leaves Two Men Injured

Police were called to the scene around 10.30pm following reports that a man had been stabbed. A second man was also hurt trying to stop the attack outside a nightclub, described as a homophobic knife assault.

Both victims, men in their 40s, were rushed to hospital. Thankfully, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Suspect Also Gropes Another Victim While Fleeing

As the suspect fled the station, a bystander reported being groped. Officers, supported by London Ambulance Service and Metropolitan Police, quickly responded and launched an investigation.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Inspector Paul Attwell said: “This has understandably been a worrying time for the travelling public. Our officers have been working around the clock to investigate.”

He added: “A man has now been arrested in connection with this incident. We are not looking for anyone else at this time. Enhanced high-visibility patrols will continue over the Bank Holiday weekend to reassure the public.”
