Emergency services scrambled to Caxton Road, Margate, just after 1am on Wednesday following a shocking hit-and-run crash.
Life-Saving Air Ambulance Rushes Victim to London
Police, paramedics, two fire crews, and the Kent Sussex and Surrey air ambulance rushed to the scene. Armed Kent Police officers were also present as doctors performed a Rapid Sequence Induction on the injured man, who suffered serious head injuries.
The victim was swiftly airlifted to a London hospital for urgent treatment.
Suspect Arrested as Police Launch Major Investigation
A dog handler is conducting an area search for the fleeing driver and vehicle. Police have cordoned off the crash site, treating it as a crime scene. A man in his 30s has been arrested on multiple offences, and a vehicle linked to the crime has been recovered.
Kent Police continue their inquiry and have been approached for further comment.
