Toddler Dies in Horror Whitstable Crash
Kent Police are hunting for witnesses, CCTV clips, and dashcam footage after a tragic smash in Whitstable that claimed the life of a two-year-old.
Fatal Collision at Busy Junction
The nightmare unfolded at the crossroads of Harbour Street and Cromwell Road around 8.24pm on Saturday, 16 August 2025. A car smashed into a group of pedestrians, leaving chaos in its wake.
A man suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital. Sadly, the toddler was confirmed dead at the scene. Police have informed the child’s family and are offering support through specially trained officers.
Man Arrested on Dangerous Driving Charges
Officers arrested a man in his 20s at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He remains in custody as the investigation continues.
Police Plea for Witnesses and Footage
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is urging anyone who saw the crash or has CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
“We are particularly keen to hear from witnesses, including bus passengers in the area at the time, who may not yet have spoken to officers. We are also appealing for anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to contact us as soon as possible,” said a Kent Police spokesperson.
