Armed Police Swamp Newport Property in Dawn Raid!
Armed officers from Hampshire Police surrounded a house on Newport’s outskirts early this Monday morning. The property on Rooke Street, close to the Isle of Wight prison estate, was swarmed by emergency services just after 8.20am.
Estate Locked Down in High-Stakes Operation
The normally quiet estate was plunged into lockdown as cops launched a preplanned raid. They targeted a known wanted man believed to be hiding inside the property. Armed response teams from Hampshire were called in to back up Isle of Wight officers in this tense mainland-off-island joint effort.
