Teen Arrested After Double Stabbing Shocks Sheffield
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two teenagers were stabbed in Sheffield’s Darnall district yesterday evening (August 26).
Heavy Police Presence at Ribston Mews
South Yorkshire Police rushed to Ribston Mews at 7:25 p.m. following a 999 call reporting the stabbings. Around 10 police vehicles blocked the junction of Staniforth Road and Ribston Road, quickly setting up a cordon. A video circulating online shows flashing blue lights and officers securing the tense scene.
Victims Stable After Serious Injuries
The victims, aged 15 and 16, were rushed to hospital with suspected stab wounds. Police confirm their injuries are serious but not life-threatening. The attack has deeply unsettled the local community.
Investigation Ongoing, Police Appeal for Witnesses
The arrested teenager remains in custody while detectives continue their enquiries. Sheffield’s Detective Superintendent Nikki Leach reassured locals: “We are treating this as an isolated incident and working fast to identify those involved and understand what happened.”
