Clapham Attack Horror: Mother Severely Injured in Acid Assault
A devoted mum is fighting for her life after a brutal corrosive substance attack in Clapham. The 31-year-old woman, targeted alongside her two young daughters aged three and eight, was left critically injured in a terrifying assault by a man believed to be her ex-partner, 35-year-old Abdul Ezedi.
Community Rallies Behind Victim
Friends describe the mum as a “generous to a fault” and “loving mother” who dreamed of a safe home for her kids. After the horrific attack on Lessar Avenue, near Clapham Common, she remains sedated in hospital with fears she could lose sight in her right eye.
Her pals praised the brave neighbours who rushed to help, many of whom suffered injuries themselves. “We cannot put into words how grateful we are to the heroic neighbours of Lessar Avenue,” said a close friend. “They risked their own lives to save them. They are angels in our eyes.”
Massive Fundraiser Swells for Family
A GoFundMe page launched to support the family has smashed £42,000. Friends say the huge wave of community backing will be vital in helping the family rebuild and find some security after this nightmare.
Manhunt Underway for Suspect
Police are hunting Abdul Ezedi, who remains on the run. Armed officers raided properties in Newcastle amid fears Ezedi fled towards the Thames after being spotted leaning over Chelsea Bridge railings on the night of the attack.
