Man Held Over Murder in North London Shooting

A 28-year-old man was arrested at Heathrow Airport on Wednesday, 27 October, accused of murder and two counts of attempted murder. He remains in police custody as the investigation heats up.

Fatal Shooting Rocks Green Lanes

Police were called at 10.31pm on Tuesday, 21 September, after reports of a shooting near the junction of Green Lanes and West Green Road, N8. Sharmake Mohamud, 22, was found with fatal gunshot wounds. Paramedics tried to save him but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two Others Injured but Survive

Two other men, aged in their 20s and 30s, were also shot but survived after hospital treatment. Their injuries are not life-threatening.

Four Arrested Then Released

Initially, four men in their early 20s were arrested the day after the shooting on suspicion of murder. All have since been released without charges.
