Thrill Ride Tragedy at Barrow’s Cavendish Park: Three Injured

A joint probe by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Cumbria Police is underway after a frightening incident at Cavendish Park, Barrow, on 28th August.

Emergency Called as Ride Malfunctions

Police were alerted at 8:30pm by the North West Ambulance Service following injuries sustained on a park ride. Two females and a male were hurt, with two victims reportedly on the ride when it went wrong.

Three Injured, One in Critical Condition

  • The injured male and one female have now been discharged from hospital.
  • The second female victim remains critically ill at Royal Preston Hospital.

Police Investigate, Area Remains Cordoned Off

A police cordon is still in place as investigations continue into what caused the shocking incident at the family attraction.
