Tragedy on Raikes Road: Man in 20s Stabbed to Death
Police raced to Raikes Road at 6.25pm after reports of a vicious assault. A man in his twenties was found with stab wounds to his chest. Despite paramedics’ efforts, he died later at Royal Preston Hospital.
Four Arrested in Murder Probe
Lancashire Police launched a murder investigation immediately. Four suspects have been arrested: two 16-year-old boys and an 18-year-old woman from Preston, plus an 18-year-old man from Blackpool. All are being held on suspicion of murder.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Out
Detective Inspector Simon Challenger said, “These are absolutely tragic circumstances, and my thoughts are with the man’s family at this very difficult time.”
“While we have made several arrests, it is critical that we speak with all witnesses. We believe the attack happened in the street and was seen by many people.”
“If you have information and haven’t spoken to officers yet, please come forward. It’s vital we piece together what happened.”
“Patrols in the area have been stepped up and the investigation is ongoing.”
