Deadly Crash at YNOT After School Camp
The horrifying crash took place at the YNOT After School Camp in Chatham, just three miles from Springfield, the state capital. Victims range from just four years old to 18, according to authorities.
Car Smashes Through Camp Building
Illinois State Police revealed the vehicle first struck several people outside the camp before smashing through the building and hitting more inside. It then exited through the opposite side.
It’s still unclear if the crash was intentional or an accident. An urgent investigation is underway to uncover what happened.
Emergency Services Rush Victims to Hospital
Ambulances and air ambulances rushed the injured to nearby hospitals. The driver, reportedly unhurt, was taken in for evaluation. Police arrived at the scene around 3.30pm local time.
