A devastating crash near Louth has claimed the lives of a toddler and an elderly woman.

Horror Smash on A157 Involving Five Cars

Emergency teams raced to the scene on the A157 just past Gayton le Wold, near Grimblethorpe, after a four-car collision on Sunday, 15 March. The smash involved a blue Peugeot 108, grey MG 1300, white BMW X3, and black Volvo XC60. A fifth vehicle also suffered damage in the chaos.

Tragic Victims Named

  • Four-year-old boy from Birmingham
  • Seventy-nine-year-old woman from Mablethorpe

Both were sadly pronounced dead following the collision.

Police Hunt Witnesses to Piece Together Crash

“We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has CCTV, dashcam, or mobile footage of the vehicles involved,” said Detective Sergeant Melissa Ablitt, leading the inquiry.

Anyone with information who has not contacted police is urged to call Lincolnshire Police on 101 immediately.
