Murder Probe Launched After Fatal Hit-and-Run in Hailsham
Detectives have opened a murder investigation after a 24-year-old man was fatally struck by a black vehicle on Diplocks Way, Hailsham, late Saturday night. The tragedy unfolded at around 11pm on 18 November, with the victim pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect on the Run, Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
The vehicle and suspect involved remain at large, as police ramp up efforts to catch those responsible. The victim’s family has been informed and is receiving support from specially trained officers.
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Harbour said: “This is a fast-moving investigation and we are working around the clock to establish exactly what happened.”
“There were a number of people in the area around the time of the incident, and I am urging anyone with any information to please come forward.”
“Specifically, we are keen to hear from anyone who captured anything on mobile, CCTV or dash cam.”
