Decomposed Body Found in Burnham Home Sparks Investigation

Police broke down the front door of a detached property in Burnham, on the outskirts of Rochester, this evening after being called to a disturbing smell. Inside, officers made a grim discovery – a badly decomposed body.

Scene of Crime officers and undertakers wearing forensic white suits have been combing the property on Brisley’s Row since Monday afternoon. It’s unclear whether the death was natural or if foul play was involved.

A shocked neighbour revealed that police smashed the door down following reports of a strong, foul odour. It’s believed the deceased may have been dead for more than six months before being discovered.

Police Confirm Man in 40s Found Dead

Kent Police say they were called at 4.21pm on Monday, 7 June, over concerns for a man. Officers and ambulance crews attended a private address in St Mary’s Walk, Burham, where a man in his 40s was pronounced dead.

The death is not being treated as suspicious, and a coroner’s report will follow.
