Man Brutally Attacked Outside Chichester Pub

A 61-year-old man was left battered after a savage assault outside the Dolphin and Anchor pub on West Street, Chichester. The shocking attack took place at around 7pm on 14 March.

Victim Possibly Struck With Bottle

Witnesses say the victim was approached by a stranger before being violently attacked. It’s believed he may have been hit with a bottle, resulting in serious injuries.

Suspect Arrested and Bailed

Sussex Police quickly arrested a 20-year-old local man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. However, he has since been released on bail as officers continue their investigations.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage

Police are urging anyone who saw the assault or has mobile phone or CCTV footage to come forward. Report any information online quoting crime reference 1270 of 14/03.
