Fatal Crash in Ringwood: Police Hunt Witnesses After Young Driver Dies
Police are urgently appealing for witnesses after a deadly crash in Ringwood in the early hours today. Just before 2am, officers were called to reports of a single-vehicle smash on Crow Lane.
Car Crashes into Tree on Crow Lane
When emergency crews arrived, they found a white Volkswagen Scirocco smashed into a tree and lying in a ditch by the roadside. The 21-year-old driver was rushed to Southampton General Hospital but tragically died a few hours later.
Police Seek Eyewitnesses to the Tragedy
Sergeant Andy Gwyer from the Totton Roads Policing Unit told The Mirror: “This happened in the early hours when there are very few vehicles around, but we want to hear from anyone who may have seen the collision or the car beforehand.”
He added: “The car was travelling south along Crow Lane, away from the town centre. If you were in the area around this time and saw anything, please get in touch.”
