Man Dies After Coach Hits Pedestrian on A500
A man has tragically died after being struck by a coach on the A500 in Stoke-on-Trent this afternoon. Despite frantic efforts from paramedics, the pedestrian could not be saved.
Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
West Midlands Ambulance Service received the call just before 12:25pm and dispatched an ambulance, a paramedic area support officer, and two BASICS doctors to the crash site.
Life-Saving Efforts Prove in Vain
A spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find the pedestrian in cardiac arrest. Advanced life support and CPR were performed immediately and continued en route to Royal Stoke University Hospital.”
“Unfortunately, shortly after arrival at the hospital, it was confirmed that nothing could be done to save him. No one else was injured in the incident.”
