A man has died after a crash on Portsmouth’s A2030 Eastern Road tonight. Police are on the scene and part of the road remains shut at the busy junction with Burfields Road.
Fatal Crash Involving Two Bikes and a Van
The smash happened just after 5.30pm outside the Harvester pub. Two cyclists collided with a van. Tragically, a 49-year-old Portsmouth man on one of the bikes was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other cyclist escaped with minor injuries. The van driver was unharmed.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Family have been informed and are being supported by specialists. Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are probing exactly how the crash happened.
