Murder Probe Launched After Man Found Dead in Doncaster Alley
A man has died in suspicious circumstances in Doncaster, sparking a murder investigation. The 42-year-old was found badly injured in an alley off Apley Road in the early hours of Thursday, September 19.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene at Dawn
Police were alerted at around 5.31am by a member of the public who spotted the injured man in the Hyde Park area. Officers from South Yorkshire Police and paramedics from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service arrived swiftly.
Despite frantic attempts to save him, the man was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at hospital.
Police Urge Public to Come Forward
The scene has been sealed off as detectives launch a full murder inquiry. South Yorkshire Police are treating the death as suspicious and are hunting for witnesses.
