Murder Probe Underway After Fatal Hit-and-Run in Hailsham
Sussex Police have launched a murder investigation following a tragic hit-and-run on Diplocks Way, Hailsham. The horror unfolded just before 11pm on Saturday, 18 November, when a black vehicle smashed into a 24-year-old local man, killing him instantly.
Suspect and Car Still at Large
Neither the vehicle nor the driver has been found. Police are hunting hard to track down the suspect and piece together what happened that night. The victim’s family have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
Detective Pleads for Witnesses to Speak Up
“This is a high priority case. We are working around the clock and need the public’s help to solve it,” said Detective Chief Inspector Andy Harbour. “If you saw anything or have CCTV, dash cam, or mobile footage, please come forward.”
