Man in his 50s attacked by gang outside bookmaker on High Street
On the evening of Friday, March 17, 2023, at around 8:30pm, a man in his 50s was standing outside a bookmaker on the High Street when trouble struck. A group of about 12 young men, accompanied by a young woman with a child, approached him.
Gang demands money before violent assault
The gang reportedly demanded cash from the man. Feeling intimidated, he handed over some money — but that wasn’t the end. The victim was then punched, knocked to the ground, and kicked repeatedly, leaving him with cuts and bruises.
