Whiskey in Hand, Man Takes to the Wheel
Police scrambled after reports of a man hopping into a car clutching a bottle of whiskey in Eastleigh. The suspect then sped off from Rowe Way at around 8.15am on Saturday, 14 August.
Chase Ends at M27 Roundabout
Officers tracked the vehicle to the roundabout at Junction 5 on the M27, bringing it to a halt on Stoneham Way, southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton.
Class B Drugs Found During Search
- Vehicle was searched, revealing a stash of Class B drugs seized on scene.
- Driver underwent breathalyser test and drugs wipe.
- Passenger also searched by police.
Two Men Arrested, One Still Under Investigation
A 21-year-old man from Luton was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, drug-driving, and possession with intent to supply Class B drugs. He has been released under investigation.
A 25-year-old man, also from Luton, was held for possession of a Class B drug but later released with no further action.
